While the offices of the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey are closed, our staff continues to devote themselves to our mission of conducting surveys and research on the geology and groundwater of Wisconsin.
Our fieldwork is delayed for now, but we are rearranging schedules to minimize disruption to the important projects that we contribute to. As we work from our home offices, we are interpreting and mapping our data; reporting on recent work; and proposing, planning and preparing for the next field season.
Our core repository in Mount Horeb has temporarily closed. However, please reach out to the Samples Coordinator with questions about the collections and future access to them.
Our social media accounts, Facebook and Twitter, are good ways to stay current with our efforts, and our website is a great source of maps and information on Wisconsin geology, groundwater, and minerals. It also contains summaries of our work.
